Launch Campaigns

I have been lucky to work with some amazing creative directors, producers, writers, editors, and vendors over the years. Below are some of the launch campaigns we have created together -- some large budget, some small budget.

I was the Executive Producer on these spots and I also co-directed some as well.

“The Walking Dead” - Season 6

“Shadows”

Collaborated with a talented vendor, Bacon & Sons, to capture the talent of “The Walking Dead” in this launch promo. We had one day of pre-light and one 10 hour day of shooting on an active set. Lighting effect is practical. Budget was modest in the 5 figures.

We also were able to create additional campaign content from this one shoot, driving down the ROI.

Better Call Saul - Season 3

“Lost Pollos Hermanos”

Collaborating with Bacon & Sons, we transformed a working restaurant into “Breaking Bad’s” famous Los Pollos Hermanos. How better to introduce Gus Fring’s first appearance on “Better Call Saul.”

“Mad Men” - Season 7

“Takes Off”

For the final season of “Mad Men,” we wanted to turn the Key Art into moments which chronicled Don’s journey. We worked closely with Frank Ockenfels III.

Additional campaign content created from this one day shoot - driving down the ROI.

“Fear the Walking Dead” - Season 4

“After the Fall”

Working with Bacon & Sons, we introduced new series regulars and a new series direction.

On the same day of shooting “After the Fall” and “Strobe,” we created countdowns and additional campaign content for social media & digital use as well as linear broadcast.
See it.

“Fear the Walking Dead” - Season 4

“Strobe”

As filmed “After the Fall,” we also captured this evocative piece, “Strobe.”

In addition, we created countdowns and additional campaign content for social media & digital use as well as linear broadcast..

Mad Men - Season 7

“The Party’s Over”

For the 6 final episodes of “Mad Men,” we transformed the Key Art into moments reflecting the end of an era. Another collaboration with Frank Ockenfels III.

“The Walking Dead” - Season 9

“Every Picture”

Working with Bacon & Sons, we worked to capture the theme of Season 9 - hope. Shot on location in Atlanta, and utilizing show clips, we created a tapestry.

On this day, we also captured “Kaleidoscope” and additional campaign content for social media & digital use as well as linear broadcast.

“The Walking Dead” - Season 9

“Kaleidoscope”

Using my budget management skills, allowed me to squeeze in the production of “Kaleidoscope” while filming “Every Picture.”

While filming “Kaleidoscope,” we captured additional campaign content for social media & digital use as well as linear broadcast.

“The Walking Dead” - Season 7

“Football is Over”

This was a last minute request for a Super Bowl spot. Working with Bacon & Sons, we produced this spot, within 48 hours.

“The Walking Dead” - Season 5

“Surviving Together”

This November shoot was the one only time the whole cast assembled for a marketing promo. Shilo helped us create a memorable piece.

Once again, we created additional content for multi-media platforms.

“The Walking Dead” - Season 9

“Behind Bars”

Here, we squeezed the opportunity to capture Jeffrey Dean Morgan, with his new look, in his new cell, for use on social media and digital platforms.

“The Walking Dead”

“Thank You Andy”

Documenting fans of AMC’s shows at San Diego Comic-Con has become a tradition. In 2018, we felt we should spend some of the time documenting the die-hard fans’ reaction to Andrew Lincoln’s departure. During 4 days we created a sentimental piece for use on social platforms.

“Fear the Walking Dead” - Season 2

“Reflections”

Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead was shot in Mexico, so we headed south of the boarder to capture our cast in the water. We convinced these seasoned actors to hop in the tank to capture some stunning images.

Using underwater cameras and a little digital design we created a dynamic campaign of 6 teases.

Comic Con Fan Spots

For several years, we have traveled to San Diego with Bacon & Sons to document the enthusiasm the fans have for AMC series. The footage was repurposed for use in branded spots.

“TWD 100 Thank You Fans”

“Thank You Fans”

“Fan Appreciation”

“Preacher” - Season 3

“Angelville”

For “Preacher” Season 3, we captured these two spots - “Angleville” and “Face Face.” Big Star worked tirelessly with two distinct setups and a lot of post to craft these two pieces.

“Face Face”

“The Walking Dead” - Season 4

This was the first live action campaign shot for The Walking Dead.

“Pyre", “Marking Time,” “Losing People,” and “Grave”

This was the first live action campaign shot for The Walking Dead.

“Into the Badlands” - Season 3

“Windows”

Utilizing show footage, live action shoot and some inspired animation, we created a promo to show the many worlds of the series.

“Fan Tattooing”

Our second live action shoot for Season 3 was fan inspired. The dedication of this fan was captured by Pilot NYC.

“Into the Badlands” - Season 2

“Freedom”

While “Into the Badlands” filmed in Ireland, half of the crew was working on The Widow’s set for “Freedom”…

“Vengeance”

… we grabbed a few hours on one of their stages to build Sunny’s dojo and film “Vengeance”

“The Walking Dead” - Season 5

“The Hunt”

Frank Ockenfels III, his DP, and our creative team found a place where the talent could begin to explore the new world of Terminus.

We created 3 spots from the one day of shooting.
